Introduction

My name is Evan Cantor.  I am 20 years old and currently attending Salt Lake Community College.  This Eportfolio is for some of my work that i have done in my GenEd classes to show what i am capable of.

I have been attending Salt Lake Community College for five semesters to receive my associates degree, but then plan on transferring to the University of Utah to study Economics, and get my bachelors degree.

Psychology Reflection:

By writing analysis' on these movies it really put into perspective how much these movies have to do with psychology, it opens your eyes to a lot of gender, racial, and status issues of the world.  For example, the movie Aladdin had a lot to do with the section of social construct that women are helpless and need a man to take care of them, as well as a cultural issue that the father of the woman is to choose the husband of his daughter without her say.  Also in the movie Kinsey, it touches a great deal on the sex issues of the world, such as what the norms are and what should and shouldn't be taught in the school system.  He also interviews people about subjects that are a little out of the ordinary, and are know to be "awkward" or "uncomfortable" subjects.
