Reflection

This assignment was very helpful for me because it got me to actually sit down and think about all of the struggles that I have gone through since I have been in college, but also all of the great strategies that I have learned to help me become a fairly good student.  I am still working on making myself better at school, but I do feel like I was able to give a little a little advice on how to be successful.  I owe a lot of my strategies to this class, it has probably been the most helpful class I have taken in my three years at Salt Lake Community College.

College Studies

SMART Goals: One of my goals is to graduate from Salt Lake Community College with an Associates degree at the end of this spring 2015 semester, and transfer to the University of Utah and begin studying Economics.  I am planning on receiving my undergraduate degree from the University of Utah in approximately two years time.  Because I am about one year behind where I should be in school, I am going to take a few summer school classes so that I can graduate when I am supposed to.

Short Term Goal:  One of my main short term goals is to be in good biking shape for when the biking season finally comes around and I can ride outside.  I am going to accomplish this by eating healthy, working hard in the gym and of course, riding my stationary bike three to four times a week so I can be conditioned well enough.

Intermediate Goal:  Finish my first semester at the University of Utah with a 3.2 GPA or higher.  I am going to achieve this by first getting accepted into the University, and then once I get there I am going to focus very hard on my school work and studying for tests.  I will put school before anything, and if I find my self struggling, I won't hesitate to seek help.

Long Term Goal:  My long term goal is to get an internship and the corporate office of Sinclair Oil and Gas.  How I will go about doing this is talking to my friend who already works there, ask them if they are offering internships at that moment, and then ask him if he can appoint me to the person that I can talk to about getting hired, and call or email them and try to set up an interview and begin working.
